does an external hardrive (HD in an enclosure) have to be on jumper?I boght a Mad Dog 2.5" HD enclosure and put my old laptop HD in it.I can't get windows to recognize it.
mine doesn't & i've used other makes of 2.5" hd's with no problem. are you using 1 usb cable from enclosure to pc or 2? if using 1 cable then are you using external power? what size is the drive in gigs?
1 cable is not enough power for the 60gig as i need 2 cables for my 40gig. have you tried your back ports as found those to have a better chance to work?
you can simply delete a partition, go start icon> right click on mycomputer icon> and select the Manage option...you can then delete a partition by right clicking on the partition and selecting "delete" under the disk management area -tripplite
trip, what happens to the info that is in that partition as it goes bye bye & if not saved then bell is s.o.l.
LOL whoops! bell dont forget to backup any data you have on that partition all data on that partition will be lost once deleted! -tripplite
