I'm no newbie. Periodically, I come back to these forums and spend a couple hours searching on DL, hoping to finally find why one cannot burn them successfully with anything other than DVD Decrypter ISO mode. I've yet to find it. I've read all the suggestions and all the hits on the media and it is all patently wrong. I've tried many different brands of burner, player and media and always hit the same barriers. I want to be able to take the output of DVD2One or DVDShrink and burn it to a DL disk and have it work. I can play them on my computer DVD Rom, but not on any of my set-top players. Yet, those same set-top players will play all the +R DLs I make using Decrypter ISO mode. The few -R DLs I've gotten hold of are totally useless. Seriously now, is there anybody around here who REALLY knows what the problem is? This is a technology destined to go the way of Beta tapes unless the mfrs get on the stick.
Ok, I do dual layer and it works... here is what I do....I use dvdfab to decrypt it....then I will load it up in shrink..but I will not shrink it at all because its dual layer...well anyways...when I push the backup button I tell it to burn to iso file and then burn with dvd dycrypter...and I only burn it at 4X...and mine works doing that. The older dvd players do not recognize dual layer at all. My onkyo does, but my pioneer does not...go figure...
