I have a burned copy of Microsoft windows. So I dont know if that is why I dont have it. When I put my Power dvd in and Install it to run dvd rw which is a liteon product and restart it. I cant see video in Windows media play just sound. Is that because of downloading power dvd. Because when I restore my computer I can see video. But I want to be able to decode so i watch more movies and DVDs. Been trying to figure out for hours. Thanks Dan
Or go here http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html You don;t need Directx 9.0c. to watch a movie, if your getting sound but no video then it most likely a codec issue. But hell...give it a go.
