I tried to burn the 5 gb image file to a dvd+r but the file was too big to fit on a disc, does anyone have any suggestions? please post an entry at http://www.freewebs.com/zachb90e/xboxforums.htm?blogentryid=311740 Thanks
There is no way to burn a 5gb iso onto a 4.5gb disc. What you might consider is deleting all the extra junk from the disc until it's small enough to fit, and then turning it into an ISO for burning.
yeah, check out balugabutt.com or even this page http://rahszhul.jonmega.com/index.php they both have lists of game deletions.
is there not a way to use double layer burning for the iso file? if there is a program that will burn it using double layer burning then it would work perfectly. also is thier possibly another way to compress an iso file into a smaller one? there has got be a way to get a big game onto a regular dvd+r. how do you think that the company who put the games on disc's did? they more than likely had to use a compression method or they may have used double layer burning.
Lots of games use double layer discs, and if you have a burner that supports double layer burning, then you can too. Trying to burn 5gb to a regular 4.5gb disc is like trying to record 1 1/2 hours of music on a 45min tape. Can't work. The other choice is to unpack the ISO with Qwix or Craxtion so that you have all the files on your pc. Now go to http://www.balgabutt.com and look under deletions for your game. Follow the instructions (if the game is there) to delete all the crap like demos for other games, foreign language files and movies, etc. After this process you may find that the game is small enough to fit. If so, create new iso with Qwix or Craxtion, burn, and then play.
