My PS2 game mercenaries is really scrached up it works but it takes a LONG time to load does anyone know how to fix the scraches I want to play the rest of the game so I can play the second game note:I aready tried the toothpaste method.
I've had a lot of success with a product called "Merlin's Disc Magic". It comes in a little blue box with a wizard on the cover, and they sell it in the electronics department at Walmart. It repairs both little scratches and deep ones. Sorry if this is a duplicate post of another of mine, my computer jittered out when I posted the first one and I don't know if it was posted or not (It wouldn't show up when I reloaded the page or anything)
Have the disc professionaly resurfaced. Most home repair kits will simply grind a huge pattern into the disc and make the scrathes less significant. If done right, having it resurfaced by a professional should have it looking like new. This typically cost $2-5.
Thanks evryone for your suggestions I tried getting it professionly resurfaced but no one in my area will do it so I think I am going to go with the merlins disc magic see how that works.
