That is the GPU chip your looking at,and removing them is a pain in the arse. You can see the CPU,GPU,Southbridge,ANA and Nand flash chips real good off this site http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=3165.0 which also shows how talented these guys are on removing them as well.I'm not sure what it is to be honest without looking into it,but it is interesting and I don't think a guess would be any good.Take a look at that site I provided though, because what they are doing is studying what chips are married to each other and what chip starts first etc...I know for a fact the dvd drive key for the Xbox 360 is stored in the Nand flash, but it can't be obtained without the CPU key(in the fuseset),KV.bin(keyvault),1BL key(inside the 1BL.bin file).

Here is a diagram I seen off x-s about the nand structure:
[IMG] .I've heard of people changing the dvd drive key to something completely different, but unless you have a specific hacked kernel and can run linux off the system you won't be able to do it.

ok, thanks guys, i initially thought it was another ceramic capacitor but the 8 IO pins is a bit odd, capacitors usually have polarity, is it the same with ceramic capacitors, Ive got a few knocked off the gpu, soldering them back isnt going to be easy, but it'll be great to see if i can get this faulty box working.
