    is there a program that lets you capture video and sound of what is on my computer screen?

    Best available is Camtasia 4.0 the quality is amazing, you can save to almost any format and then edit it, or add voice overs etc...

    There's also a cut down function in Snagit, which operates the same way but is lower playback quality.

    Both have trial versions that are available for download.
