I have just switched to Recordnow Max and have since burned two movies. Each of the movies froze up shortly into them. I have burned several movies with nero and have not encountered this problem before. I am using cheap media which may be the cause but what i'm asking is would Recordnow Max make it so the movies freeze up on the cheap media or was that just bad luck for the first two?

If Nero was working for you ... why did you change?

I changed cause it was not working in my ps2 but i found it that it was an older model. Also they weren't working to well in my Stand alone at home so i decided to change and people said that recordnow max was a better program.

    I agree with Herbsman,
Use nero burning rom (DVD-video compilation) for the DVD burning. it has worked for me. I tried burning with PrimoDVD and it does'nt play on my toshiba standalone player.

Is it better (RecordNow) if your DVD-R back up's freeze..?

It could well be cheap media,if you were to try quality blank media DVD-R (+R) & then they still froze up you could write that investigation off...and so on

One fo the guides on DVDrHelp.com suggests a program called GearPro and says that it is the only burnign application that will make 100% compliant DVDs.
No experience, so I can't comment...
