Does cheaper price mean fake???

    I'm in the process of buying a Sony vx-2100 and see price ranges from $1,299 to $2,200. Why are some companies that much cheaper? Is there fraud involved? Perhaps plastic lenses and not real glass?
    Saving a few hundred dollars is understandable, but $1,000?
    Please give me some information, thank you!

    Make sure that it`s not refurbished.Ask if it`s New,factory sealed box
