I use DVD decrypter then dvd2one, then Nero to burn. I only burn the movie and use dvd2ne to take out the extras. if the movie is small enough without the extra soundstracks, etc does DVD2One still compress it. I may start using a few double layer discs. if i do that can I skip DVD2One altogether and just uses dvd decrypter and nero?

If you're burning dual layer media all you need is Decrypter. Rip the movie as an ISO image, then burn the image back with Decrypter. Decrypter can burn to dual layer media

No, DVD2One will just strip out the unwanted audio tracks and subtitles and not compress the remaining tracks (Audio and Film Video).

Like you I prefer Film Only backups even with DVD5 discs (Single layer) which gets rid of the studio logos and FBI warnings so you can get straight into the film.
