My System Specs: - AMD x2 Athlon 3800+ - 2GB RAM - 7600GT 256MB I've been playing Far Cry on max graphics, no lag at all. I decided to save the hassle of putting the DVD in the drive everytime I want to play so I got myself an EXE No-DVD Patch. I replaced the EXE's and started Far Cry. I continued my game and all of a sudden the game lagged a great deal. The frame rate dropped considerably. So does using no-cd patches lower the games graphics and lower the frame rate?
I can say for 100% sure absolutly NOT... The game is the same game it only effects the launch of the app after that nothing else. The only exception is if there is some other type of code they inserted but In all my days of cracking I have never seen a problem. By the way my pc is nowhere near the rig you have...were about equal in gfx though.Check your personal messages!
Just use alcohol 120% use "image making wizard" and rip it to your computer. Then just mount it with your Deamon tools. I hate no cd .exe fixes. The only reason I hate them is for updates. However, that game is older so there probably are many patches coming out for that. Maybe your No-cd crack contained a nice virus (which they often do). But yeah, the no cd crack will do nothing to the game its self. All it does is launch the game.
abotu the ony thign I ahve ever noticed patchs do is randomly crash out of the game a bit more than not useing it,other than that there are no preformance hits I am aware of.
