doesnt brn the whole dvd or dvd file

i have windows xp .my computer a desktop had a orginal factory installed sony dvd rw dw-u14a. it worked great lately it only burns 97 percet of a dvd file or a home dvd and finalize the disc and i have no problem playing them on any dvd but i am missing 3% of the disc or the file .its doing fine with cd or music files .problem is only with dvd . ihave tried several software programs but the problem is the same.need help thanks

 

hi thanks for responding so fast.i have never done this before but some how i found the updates as i ran the program it said no updateable drive exists so i assume it might be updated but it wasnt showing any drive e which normally burns the disc in the computer

has been using the same disks for years .had 200 disks burned 150 with no problem.problem started with last 8 discs.tried to contact sony co but they are just making me go merry go around.
