My question is simple: Is there a way to convert wav format into Dolby Digital/DTS technology?
If there is, which program can do the job???
I've been looking for a way to reach this goal and i didn't find it...
i bought a receiver YAMAHA RX-V340 with surround speakers and i want to prove the Dolby Digital/DTS technology without a DVD in my receiver (that contains that kind of technology), my idea is to convert a stereo audio file (for instance, wav) into DTS...
If anyone know how to do it please let me know about it...
    Thanks for yor help!

you can convert it into dolby digital stereo with besweet, and play it in winamp with the winampac3 input plugin, setting that to output via spdif.

you need to be using either a digital coaxial or optical cable into the receiver from your sound card in order for that to work. be sure to have the latest sound card drivers, and the newest directx version installed. should work, but it won't sound any different, since it's stereo, it will still only be using the front left and front right speaker.
