    Hi there,

I have a large file about 3.5gb, don't have a DVD writer is there any way I can split this file to enable me to burn onto CDR.

    Many thanks

you could try compressing the file using http://www.7-zip.org/, if that does not work, I would use a file-splitting/joining tool like the following: http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/, file splitting utilities allow you to break the file into multiple files that will each fit on a cd-r, once you split and burn them, you will need to rejoin them with the same program to use the file again. you could try doing a search for file splitters on google, if the link above doesn't help!!! Good Luck!!!
