DOS ERROR

    hi guys

    dont know whether if this is in the right forum so sorry but this question is for the hardcore i think here i go,

    well basically this is to do with my friends computer and he has a computer that starts up in DOS i think its 6.2 or something like that, im not really familair with it and he uses this machine for his embroiadry in his warhouse so he needs this error fixing quite quickly. His machine is realy old like 20 odd years old and refuses to upgrade as he says that faster computer these days will send information far to quicly to the dart hooked up to his embroiadry system.
    The error he is getting is (162- Insert DISKETTE and run a DIAGNOSTICS) he said he got this error after putting in a floppy disk looking at a few designs so i dont know how hes managaed this but please if any help please reply a post

    DOS is really easy to set up. Just use the setup disks, and reinstall.

    i format it through the BIOS but dont have a clue how to reinstall it, its not like windows where your able to double click an icon to run a setup proggy? can u help?

    To install DOS, just put in the first disk into the floppy drive and type setup at the command prompt.

    after when i press F1 to resume and i see that flashing underscore?

    Start the computer, then quickly put in the first DOS disk...after any prompts, it should boot using that floppy disk. Then, at the A:\ prompt, type in setup. You should be good to go.
