Hello. I have a single layer burner, pretty old. My friend just gave me a bunch of free dual-layer dvds and I was wondering If I can still use them to burn a 4.7 or so ISO file, or do they not work like that? I tried to use Imgburn but it didn't seem to work. Was asking some questions I didn't know how to answer when setting up the burn. Please help. Thanks.

Imgburn Tools > Drive > Capabilities.
Unless the burner lists the capability it will reject or waste the DL disk.

The disc are memorex dvd+R DL. That box under capabilities in IMGBURN is checked off. I still don't know w what to do to use them though. It won't burn the image files. Any ideas?

Is that the 'Read' box or the 'Write' box that's checked.

You might want to save them for something that might require some extra storage like a 3 hr movie. Memorex is not the best of brands but free is a good deal.
