i used the afterdawn guide to rip subs from a vob file and convert it to srt. the thing is that when i play the avi file, there are like two layers of subs. i can modify "one of the layers" through the subtitle menu in media player classic 6.4 but the other keeps being shown. it's not a big deal if i make the subs being shown in opaque box to make the others go away, but i would prefer not to use the opaque box as there is a colour box (which i can customize the colour) around the letters.
Well sounds like in addition to MPC's built in subtitle support you also have something else like direct vobsub or ffdshow rendering the subs.
Actually i had . DirectVobSub was rendering the subs along with the subs of Media Player. Now it's ok.
