DOWNGRADE XBOX

ok i had just installed the x3 modcip and everything works perfectly. i put halo 2 on it and everything but, ihave updates from xbox live on my xbox, and now i cant play maps tht other people have made. does anyone kno how i could downgrade my xbox so i can play maps that ppl have renamed/made?

 

disable the autoupdates located in e/tdata/4d530064/$u and it should work

except how do i disable it do i like delete it or sometin, cuz i dont wanna like f up my xbox

 

rename them to have a 2 at the start of the word. if you want to put it back, just rename to not have a 2

 

so all i have to do is go to tht location when i ftp into my xbox and reneame all the words in tht folder to have a 2 at the beginning of word?

 

yes, and they will be disabled (because the name doesn't work with the hex of it)

are there updates from xbox live that disable modding or something. I sioftmodded my updated xbox with no problem. I can play downloaded stuff.

 

This just disables the Halo 2 auto-update. You can't play maps that you have added to the mainmenu when you have the auto-update on your Xbox.

 

i wasn't sure if he meant adding mainmenu maps, or map packs, or ppfs, but he's talking about maps that other people made so i just assumed it.

people should know that a modded xbox kicks a modded ps2 in the €ss hole. And modding a xbox only costs like 20 dollars. No soldering or chips! Its amazing!

you can only run backups, i think. That thing's nothing. The only thing that made ps2 worth buying was GTA, but now its on xbox, so i just sold my ps2
