    Could somebody please advise.

Since the start of this week I'm having problems with downloading onto my pc.
When downloading all seems well but once download is complete the dialog boxes disapear & the download cannot be found...its ran ok before. I've tried checking & un-checking the box & noticed that the downloads do not give me an option as to where the dowload gets sent to..it goes to Temporary File..but cant find the Tempoary File at all..even when entering it in the search function.

I have a DELL Inspiron 6400 & runs vista basic...can anyone help please...tis doin my nut in..many thanks

thanx onya but the link doesnt help much at the mo as the link seems to apply to old Windows & not Vista, I'd love to try firefox to get round this but like I say, I cannot find a single programme that I'm downloading...its appears to download but then cant be founs anywhere on the pc.
Is there a way to alter where downloads arew sent to as a default as when I download it doesnt give me an option..just shows as downloading to temp file.

Sorry bout this..I dont mean to seem thick..but looks like I am...
