Download speed slow ive been looking for help with this for days but no one has given a answer that helps

ok i have been reading a lot of threads latly about people getting around 100 kbs with a connection running around 900 kb's i just did a test on mine and my connection is also running at around 900 but my d/l speeds are either 10 or below (10 if im lucky) right now i am using BitComet I have been told that changing torrent programs wont matter and i have also opened up my ports for my wireless router and i have decreased my upload speed does anybody have any suggestions for me because i am really tired of downloads taking around 2 days to complete

 

If the torrent is old and abandoned or their are very few seeds, or peers then it's gonna take a while.

not sure what the average seed/peer is but on two of mine right now i have 9/40 and 16/35 and there each going at 4kbs
