    Hi guys,

Not sure this is the right forum, but here goes.

I'm trying desperately to download a video that's embedded in a SWF file, but failing miserably. The video is not being cached so I cannot find it in my temp internet files. I've tried just about every bit of software out there, but simply failing.

Would someone please try, the link is this:

Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Thanks!

I don't believe swf files are cached in the normal place that other internet files are.

If you need to download a swf file, try downloading and installing a Download Manager (I'd recommend the Internet Download Manager http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/ Not free, but definitely one of the best!). IF you set the options within the download manager to automatically download swf files instead of letting them load in the browser, you can download the video.

    Best Regards :D

    Hi,

First of all, thanks for the reply!

I've tried your method, with no luck. The problem is, the page loads a SWF script with an embedded reference to an external movie file. This file is not cached onto my computer, nor can I derive the location of the file from the source code.

Downloading the SWF file isn't the problem... downloading the video it plays is!

    Hey mrfranky

I'm gonna guess that the video is in FLV format; that's the common file extension for most online videos, e.g. Youtube.

Try adding .flv as a downloadable file in a download manager, and see if it works.

I don't have my other computer with me just at the moment, so I can't check out the site just yet. Will soon though.

    Best Regards :D

Edit: You may also want to try the file extension .mov

The video is here.. but anybody a little savvy would have noticed it isn't playing anyway..

    Code:
    http://am.noterik.com/at5/stub.swf#!flashvars#mainSWF=http://am.noterik.com/at5/Main.swf&playerXML=http://at52.noterik.com/webtv2/swf/at5/xml/playerxml.php&params=videouri=/domain/at5/user/videoadmin/video/at5200905251540117933%7Ccolor=red&suggestedVideos=http://vdx.at5.net/suggestions.xml&customVideoId=landstitel-voor-de-hockeydames

Aye, using this link, the video isn't playing. But on the main site, it is playing properly!
