Whats the real deal as I cant find a straight answer anywhere.

All I want is to be able to have all our 40 odd games on one card - hence buying an R4.

I read somewhere you could download the games, then remove it from your computer within 24 hrs once youve bought the game or something to this effect. Can anyone elaborate how this actually works?

its like legal marijuana in states where you cant buy it. you can buy it from a dealer and if the police try to pull you over you can use your condition as a defense once you go to court. its abit of the same thing, downloading roms is illegal yet if you own the original game and you only want the rom for necessity sake then thats a defense to use in court. granted if your caught downloading u still would have to ether pay fine/apear in court/ or be arrested but u can use your ownership of the game as a defense.

ok, so just don't get caught is the idea!! How do you avoid that as the computer IP adress will be on the sites you dowloaded from surley!!

    Thanks

Nintendo will keep getting sites that offer roms closed down or take them to court, but Nintendo wont have any access to any details they have on IP addresses. heck they will proberly never find out where they are located anyway.

Generally downloading from torrents / P2P clients will leave you exposed to being caught. steer clear

Or if the law physically checks your ds for pirated software in it.
