Is it possible to download games onto a PSP? If it is, what devices do I need to have in order to do so? What site will I be able to get games off of?

Does the iso loader come with the PSP? Do I need to get a new mem stick everytime I download an ISO to my PSP?

Think of the memory stick as the hard drive for the PSP, it is the place where pretty much everything you would put on it will be stored. That is why they recommend a big one, such as the 1Gig (1000 MBs), because then you should have enough room to store most of the isos that you create backups for. Now alot of games are rather large, so you would have to plug your PSP into your computer and delete an old one to put a new one on it. As long as you keep the backup isos on your computer, you can switch it out whenever you wish. An example would be this...... the backup i made of my burnout revenge takes up around 500MB. So that only leaves me with 400 to 500 MB to fit another game. So if I have another backed up game that I want to put on, it would have to be around 400MB or smaller to fit along with Burnout. If it is bigger, then I would have to delete Burnout off the memory stick first to make room for another of my backups. So it all just depends what games you have and how large they are.

homebrew - free home-made unofficial small games - needs 1.50 or earlier.
ISOs - pirate or as we like to call it BACKUPS -full games- runs on homebrew. needs 1.50.
    official demos - NOT YET.
downloads like extra tracks for wipeout or extra maps for fired up- goto the official site

What does an ISO Loader do? And where can I get one?

By the way, if I delete a game just to put another one in it, then what would happen to my saved game?

Ex: I have Burnout3 and I decided to delete it to put a 600 MB game in. I have saved my Burnout3 game to the mem stick.

If i deleted the Burnout3 game, will it also delete the saved game as well?

no your saved game will still be in your mem stick. the saved games dont really take that much space on the mem stick. I change games and im able to keep the saved data. I have a 1gb mem stick

Astotoy7 that was hilarious, lol, but seriously fharthart take ten minutes google the info you want to learn about and you can get your questions answered, and check out sites like pspupdates and psp-hacks and you could have saved yourself days and could instead have been playing your psp.

To downgrade do the following: (read entire post first! notes @ bottom) or go to http://blogger.sahaskatta.com/2005/09/downgrade-psp-v20-to-v15.html

Create the X://PSP/GAME/UPDATE directory if it doesn't exisit.
    Copy EBOOT.PBP (v1.50) into X://PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder.
Unzip the PSPdowngrade.zip package and open the folder.
    Copy overflow.tif into X://PSP/PHOTO/ folder.
Then copy h.bin into the root folder. (X://h.bin)
Finally copy index.dat into root folder as well (X://index.dat)
Make sure your AC adaptor is connected.
In your PSP enter the Photos section, which will launch a little app.
You will need to wait ~30 seconds and then restart your PSP.

Then finally Game Menu and launch the v1.5 updater (downgrade).
Follow instructions and then at 99% an error should popup.

Thats normal so just restart the PSP and it should show an error.
Now restart the unit one more time and the PSP should be ready.

Do I need a blank UMD disk to download games to it, or do I just download it straight to the mem stick?

And, after I have finished downloading the iso, do I extract it then transfer the file to my PSP or what? If i do, then what files do I need to put in my PSP?

    1. There is NO blank, witable UMD to date.
    2. You shove 'em up your Memory STick. (that didn't sound to good)
    3. You need a fairly large one. (that didn't sound to good either)
    4. ISOs are practically illegal in most countries. So have a very strong magnet ready if you're in a tough country and the coppers come.

I live in Canada so.. I don't think it is a big deal.
    Alright... I just downloaded
    NFS Most Wanted.
I just need to buy like a 1GB mem stick now.
Right now, I have a 32 MB which is not enough.
And, after I have finished downloading the iso, do I extract it then transfer the file to my PSP or what? If i do, then what files do I need to put in my PSP?

    1. You need an ISO Loader, eg Fastloader, Devhook, UMD Emulator, WAB Launcher.

    i'd prefer the UMD Emulator.

Read the readme for the launcher you use and it should tell you where to put your ISOs. There is a specific place to put 'em, and for each lo0ader it's different.

For most loaders except for devhook you MUST have any UMD in the drive. even the sampler disc.
