Hi all, I am new to the forum ,could anyone help me with a small problem? got my box off a pal!! i have a dream box 500, it's working fine with most of the channels are coming in , but i am missing se***ta 1 and s*y sp**ts 3 and N.Geo, and one other one . Is there anything i could do about this without loosing what i have?? There is about 60 odd channels coming in alltogether, but i know guy's that have over 100 what could i do to inprove this?? hope that makes sence Cork32
If the other guys you mention have the extra channels you are missing (and are local to you ie 'same cable supplier') ask them what the frequencies are of the channels you are missing, then do a scan for those freqs only without deleting the others. Better find out how to backup your channel list first to be on the safe side. jbvid
hi m8.. 60-100 channels,,,, i would have to assume you are on chorus mmds the problem is related the the phillips tuners in the dream boxes.. some of em have problems.. There is a solution alright.. but it costs 100euro and I'm not sure the guy that does it wants his details posted on a public forum sorry.. you'll have to sniff around and you'll find your answer.. regds p.s. you can put on a back up from a working box in your area.. but i'd bet money you'll find... "service not found" when you select that channel... it's a hardware problem.. p.p.s Above comments assume you have good signal!
The tuner at some clone boxes has problems. Problems with the tuner at genuine dreamboxes are not known.
