Got all the things we need; keys, image and dreambox control centre etc. However, cannot get the control centre to connect with the dreambox to put the keys on the box. Have input the correct ip address but still no luck. any other sites with images that already have keys added? or another way to put the keys on the box? it was ok before when keys rolled because could get image with keys added and use dream up, never been able to use ftp. "ping" always comes up, timed out. what can i do? thanks

untill you get it flashed you could enter codes by hand(to get codes download bigmaq toolbar, install on your pc,it will appear on top of your screen when you click on internet, then just clivk the big key and search for your codes)here is how to find the code menu(press yellow button, then press tuxbox, then press var dir, then press keys dir,go to keylist.txt(do not open)while on keylist.txt press 4 on your remote, now you should be in code menu)you should see lines of code,to enter codes you need to go to the code line you want to change and press ok on remote(that line should now be enlarged)first thing you see in the line n5401 00 then code(enter any changes in the code here)you will have to check the 01 line also for any changes.when codes are entered(by the way the n5401 is a provider id you may have to alter that also if its not your id)press exit, press red to save, press exit again, red to save again, final thing now is you have to reboot the box(to do this press menu, then shutdown and reboot)your box will now shutdown and reboot and will come back on,go to sky sports and the codes should work.

when you had the box working last in galway did it work on cable or mmds,if it was cable it wont work with an mmds aeriel, next thing is the aeriel your friend gave you an official chorus aeriel,if not that could be your problem.try reading this thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/769392 might help.good luck

the only thing left is firmware and a loader to load it in to your box.they are all available here i would say(look under scousers excellent posts and click on eko4shared,but the box you get in a swap may be flashed with new firmware when you get it,by the person who wants to swap with you so maybe you will be fine)that said i would get the loader and firmware just in case(make sure the firmware is t for terrestriel, the loader is the same for all dm500 boxes so far as i know.when you get the box let us know how you get on,good luck mate.

do you mean the satbox trader link (as its a different forum fair enough but just thought it would be very helpfull to newbies, who maybe bought the wrong box,i mean that is the point of these forums to help out and offer advice, but i know there have to be rules, that said it was in another thread the other day,and i thought it would be ok)no offence meant to the modders or anybody else(if its not ok to pass on this link to people modders please let me know,as i dont want to be banned thank you.

if theres tuxbox commander on it is that enough, or is a fimware or loader a different thing altogether, ya see the problem is ive only got o2 broadband where i live and the guy i bought the box off lives in galway so ive to go back there to change the codes when they change
