    Gents

I have in my possesion both of the above. Ive had the d-box for a while now with no problems. Im told the dreambox is essentially a better box. It sure looks nicer, much smaller and compact, the remote is a little smarter looking too, plus you get teletext with the dreambox, these are things that would sway me to parting with the nokia and keeping the dreambox, after all, as long as they work then its down to the little things right?? Also, I believe these dreambox's are hard to come by now, is this correct??

I have spent a fair time going back through the threads on this one but still not 100% either way.

If anyone could part with some wisdom, I would be in your debt!!

    Cheers

    Jimmy

A genuine DM500C is hard get, clones are easy. A dbox is harder to get since they are no longer made and ebay have restrictions in place now.

I have had both and much prefer the dbox. Better remote, LCD screen, I prefered the software (blade quad is excellent). Dbox does have teletext by the way.

But dreambox is compact, and "new" though still made by shady companies in China, while my dbox was made in 2001 or earlier it was made by nokia in sweden. I would wonder which is more likely to last the distance.

A fake dreambox is also cheaper than a dbox.

thanks for that mate, I am pretty sure the dreambox is original, I paid a bit ovet the odds for it and it came with all the original packaging. The picture seems to be clearer aswell. My d-box is in mint condition so should get my money back!!
