Dreambox 500C

    Hi,
    Im living in Ireland and im just after getting a Dreambox 500C and I want to know how to set it up? I done an automatic scan on the SR6900 AND SR5875 last night. It found a transponder but no channels came up? Any ideas? Do i need to hook the dreambox uop to a pc first?

    Flash a dw2.0 image and select the right provider in automatic scan.

    Thamks for getting back to me mgb17. To be honest I don't no how to flash a dw2.0 image? Could you explain please?

    1st thing you need is the dw image if you pm your email to me i can sort you out there you will also need dream up and a null modem cable have you a comms port on your computer

    theres a guy on e bay fixing these boxes and has latest software

    You will need two pieces of software, dream up and an image file. Once both are on your pc you connect your dreambox to your pc using the serial port on both but do not power drmbx. Double click dreamup software. Should get message that they are communicating.Then power up drmbx. you should then see options including flash.Press flash and locate Image file (DM 2.0 very good) on computer and update box.
