Hi. My new 600 with DVB-T card has arrived. My own Sony Dig TV has found 100+ channels delivered from Ch0rut / NTL signal NW Ireland with a few of them FTA so I know there is a signal.
Tried searching for these fta channels on Dreambox (Pli image)but no joy.

    I uploaded a terrestrial.xml found on net to /var/tuxbox dir & rebooted.

Select Sats & transponders from setup, Automatic Transponder Scan and I can see my Ch0rut MMDS selection loading from terr***.xml but although SNR and AGC have some signal strength (zero on BER) i get the dreaded #All know transponders have been tried but no lock was possible#.

Whats left 4 me to do.?.?. search forum for link to newer terrestrial file or telnet/vi my existing xml and manually increament the frequency figures. is my blocking issue the image? or the xml file /frequencys for the nw ireland? Or am i wasting my weekend on lost cause.
Thanks for any pointers / help.

    Are you on N†l or ©h0rús ?

Are you on True cable or MMDS?

    Mikeecho...
Was always on Ch0rut MMDS (Roof Aerial etc basic 11 chnls) - didnt change subscription or anything, just figured with the two companies joining it was the same thing.
When I found the extra channels after a digital scan on TV, i figured the DVB-T card was the way to go...
Have the spare DVB-C card that came with the drmbox - you reckon its worth a shot ?
    thnx 4 the feedback.

I have the Dreambox 600 PVR DVB-C and I copied the mod, freq, etc from the ch()rus box and tried them on the new box. When I scan I am not finding any tranponders!!

Don't think this could be an image issue but if anyone knows can they please help as otherwise I've just wasted my money!

    Sounds promising...
Noticed that there were other precompiled images available today comis01 for this setup - which is great....just not straight forward to get but we'll see.

Actually picked up some channels on it using the Irish DTT trial transponder - not sure if they are irish signal or uk signal.

so looking good - but having spend half of yesterday working on it & some of today, think I might give it a break for a few days :)

    Cheers

Which channels do you get via the irish dtt scan?
Maybe there is a stone old downconverter installed.

(38)bloomberg & (30)uk style are coming thru fine.. lots of others listed like History Channel - Sky Sp3 - Dave - BBc3&4 but none of these ones are viewable...(40 incl guide) EPG looks good for all chnls however....

Am splitting my signal three ways with a regular 5-1000mhz splitter - is this a prob ?

Is there some other piece of h/w on the line that needs to be upgraded? Thx.

Upload the terrestrial.xml and let override the old one.
Depending on the image the file can be located in var/etc, usr/etc or var/tuxbox.
Reboot your box and try Blind Scan (ie).
Beside that you need the new autroll patch for descrambling.

    Uploaded to etc/tuxbox

No joy mgb17 using the blind scan - but a few more encrypted channels were added via a Irish DTT scan (RTE1/2/Beeb1&2/Skysp2&3 etc) but all encryted.

its odd in that as soon as you select & ok "blind scan (ie)" it immediately get back "All known transponders..no lock.." didnt even scan thru the frequencys although Lock & Sync have X thru them.

RTE1 via dvbt on tv comes thru fine, but via the dream DTT scan i cant see it. that is odd right? does this mean its coming from a difference source?
thx again - any further input appreciated.

think i am noticing a pattern from the terr xml file -

gonna change constellation / code rate hp& lp etc as the freq are correct but parameters may need to be modified for my area.

might be wrong but worth a few mins work.

There should be a option to select and restart camd's in the blue button menue. You should select evocamd.
    Probably in the softcam menu.

    Try mgcamd instead.
There should be line where you select via the left or right button the softcam in the menu.
