I've got a new 600c PVR arriving next week. any advice what the best image & cams are for, using N*L in Dublin. cheers
Install a gemini image for dream 600 boxes. Install mgcamd and mgcamd config files via online addon. Upload terrestrial.xml to var/etc and the dbox2 magic files to var/keys . reboot the box. Go to automatic scan and start a channel scan. Go to blue pannel and enable mgcamd.
hi, i got another enigma image from another site. called noob.1.0.2 and it works a dream for Ch0$%$ mmds. no messing, just flash the image and bobs an uncle..
Hi lads, I have a dreambox 500-t that I am trying to get it work on ch***s mmds. Just got ch***s digital basic package installed, the signal comes from ch***s through a mast set up for the whole estate in Kilcock and not from a roof aerial. I got 10 frequencies from the sagem box, I mounted the last gemini image on 500-t, I have done a manual scan and I am getting 10 transponders with 64 channels. The problem is that all the channels are in the list but only 5 of them are working(discovery, channel 6, setanta irl, rte two, UKDoc) the rest of them appear on the list but no video or audio signal. Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi, I've got a DB 600C (running), when I run a ransponder scan on a direct cable connection, it fails to obtain any lock. What's worrying me is the stats during the scan - the SNR , AGC and BER all hover around 60-80%, 99% and 165000 during the scan, with occasional dramatic shifts in the other direction. The same cable connection works fine with the cable co receiver (a Pace DC221KN). Do this mean I have a crap signal coming into my house? I've heard the Dreamboxes don't have great receivers but this seems a bit excessive. If a booster would help any recommendations? I've checked the Dreambox Guides, Tools and Info with no luck, many thanks. Anfar.

Colmcouni/ALL..Im in trouble with the gemini 4.10 image i loaded.On screen it says "loading image" all the time you can the menu etc. but I don't think it should be like that.Also cant get PC to communicate with dreambox 600t.I ve think i need ethernet cable crossover cable not straight through RJ45.Using dreambox 2.02.00 don't know if thats right either. Anyway can you point me to where the you got the noob image.Is it just a case of flashing this an your ready to go.Cause thats exactly what I need.All day at this today.Hair beginning to go greyer. Im ch*r*s mmds too by the way hece my intrest in the ease in which you got it going. Thanks.
Thanks for the reply Mgb17 but Ive flashed ok (except for the "loading image" which stays on background while you access the menu etc.)Don't know if this is normal. My problem is communicating between pc and dreambox.Reading forums you need terrestrial.xlm file and SoftCam.key amongst other keys. As far as I can gather you do this through dreamboxedit.I was using a telephone cable for communication between network card and ethernet plug in point. The error was no communication after about 20 seconds.I changed dreambox cable to match my settings that I got from dreamup( as this worked ok).But I reckon ethernet crossover cable may be required from reading forums. Sorry about the last mail as it was unclear.I was on this for over 3 hours on Saturday(if thats any excuse).
i really dont know what to tell you, after flashing that image it booted with the pretty lady at the beginning, then i just did the auto scan for the Ch86us and that was that...
Thanks.What cam are you using? What chorus did you scan BF or ie?Probably doesnt matter but Im clutching at straws a bit! I getting nothing when I autoscan. Do you have a message after the pretty girl saying PLAY "This directory does not conntain anything playable" Thanks
