hi sorry to annoy everyone about my dreambox ,i got it yesterday and nothing worked ,got a null cable and tried to flash it using dreamup when i gets to the part were it tells u to plug in the dreambox nothing happens at all, iv checked my ip address and am using comm 1 and ticked network etc, any one help , i know there are threads about them but i have never done anything like this before so could do with some help cheers
Hi You don't need to have network ticked if you are using the Null modem cable method to flash. ie you don't need to be connected to a network. Make sure you have latest version of Dreamup, start with power OFF to the box then follow Dreamups instructions, make sure you are using a proper 'Null modem Cable' NOT a Serial Cable also make sure you are selecting the correct Com port and its available in Device manager. BTW if you are using a USB to Com port converter I would give up now and goto a PC with a 9 pin com port. jbvid
