Its waste of money unless you plan on using it as a pc(with linux or windows 98) if you play games with it, they run twice as fast(sounds like fun but when you realise you spent $400 for it, you will cry)

buy a pre modded xbox instead(unless you really want an xbox pc)

What are you talking about $400? That is the 1.4 GHz version, I don't want that version.
I want the version in the link, that comes premodded and with a few other things.
I thought it's interesting because it's cheaper than a premodded xbox and comes with XBMC, that is elemental for me as I need to transform the xbox from NTSC to PAL as they cost too much here.
Do you know of some site where they sell a premodded xbox that doesn't cost too much?
    Thanks

actually, you won't see any improvement in game speeds as they are programmed to 64mb ram only. You'll have double that, but the games will still only see 64mb. Like lcarbutt said, if your using it as a pc (linux, win98) then you'll see advantages. Mame will also benefit from the ram and processor boost.

wait, after looking at that link I don't think I'd buy it. It's a stock xbox with a mod chip, upgraded a/v ports and upgraded heat sinks (which are a waste on a stock xbox anyway). AND it's a refurb. I'd buy a new xbox, buy a mod chip, and have the fun of learning how to do it yourself. xbmc is easy to obtain, install, and setup, too.
(plus, that thing is kinda ugly, isn't it?)
