Does the drive interface effect the performance of a drive.

    Eg.Interface: Drive 1

    ATAPI Interface ATA/ATAPI-5
IDE Data Transfer Mode PIO Mode 4,
    Multi Word DMA Mode 2,
Ultra DMA Mode 4 (Ultra DMA 66)

    Interface: Drive 2

    IDE/ATAPI Ultra DMA 33 mode 2
IDE Data Transfer Mode PIO Mode 4

    Which drive would be better?

drive 1 would be better because of Ultra DMA 66 is faster than Ultra DMA 33
