Drive Problems

    help! i got a program from another computer (registry mechanic) and it has made my cd/dvd rw drive dissapear. it says that the regisrty is damaged or incomplete can anybody help me solve this problem ????

    Registry mechanic has a restore function which will return to a previous state. Also, if that fails, Windows has a restore to a previous point program as well. Use either to return your registry to the way it was.

    but i believe it was registy mechanic that messed it up in the first place, would it be alright to use it again because ??

    No, I don't know where to download it for free. I have it and I paid for it. But I do know that you can use Windows System Restore if you are running XP.

    kk but is windows system restore guranteed to work? lol
