Drive problems

    DVD Shrink works fine with Nero to transfer the dvd file!to be ready to burn to the blank media DVD-R. Then problems realy start with the drive.
    the drive is a HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-4164B.

    1. It returns the blank media!(its being stuppied now)
    2. Basically my drive wont play dvds or burn dvds
    3. Wont read Data cds eg games, programes
    4. All it does is play and burn audio cds

    Have you done a cold boot on the computer to restore everything?

    You might need to uninstall and then reinstall the drive, assuming there is nothing wrong with the lasers.
