I have a modded release day 360 that just recently RROD and am tired of baking it in towels every time I want to play. I am going to get an Elite for the larger HDD and HDMI. From what I have found it looks like the Elites are coming with the BenQ drive in them but I was looking for a replacement drive recommendation if I hit the lotto and get a LiteOn drive.

I was under the impression that most new consoles now actually come with the Liteon, and you have a pretty high chance of getting that.

Anyways, if you do, really just go for any other drive that isn't the liteon. I like the samsung or benq drives best, easiest to flash I think.

it should be sorted with the most recent entries for the Elite at the top

What model of Sammy drive would work the easiest for this, I have only worked on my Hitachi.

ok. Well regardless, I have done both models of the samsung, and they are really easy to do. It's just a few extra steps, but I have not had a problem with either. The absolute easiest is probably the Benq, but I think either the sammy or benq are very easy to do. If you know how to flash a drive (which it seems like you do) then you shouldn't have a problem. Obviously either of these would be a little different than flashing a hitachi, but still easy. Just follow textbook's guide.
