I have a lite-on drive. I tried to flash to LT by first returning to stock from 1.6 and then upgrading and all by using the 1.6 lite-on basic flashing instruction as my guide. My 360 turns on without error, no red rings of death. The drive will just not open even though it comes up that it is opening and then closing imidietly on the screen. I opened it all up and put a disk in manually, but nothing happens, it does not start to rotate and the laser dosent move. I tried to move the laser a bit to get it going, I know thats sounds stupid, but nothing happenned. Thanks for answering, if you did
Sounds like there is no firmware on the drive at all, if the the middle green light in your ROL is flashing this confirms it. You need to erase and try the flash again.
i know this sounds a bit silly but i done it...... have you checked that the cables are plugged into the drive? i was doing a 360 a while ago and had pulled the cables from the mobo not the drive, so i reinstall everything..... visually check cables yup lovely jubbly. connect it up and nothing from the drive i thought i'd screwed it until i took it apart and found out what i'd done [facepalm] hooked it back up and hey presto.
Yes, the light in the middle is flashing, so it dosent have any firmware. Is there a LT flash instruction cause im kind of a noob, thanks.
Just pick up jungleflasher PDF @ the erase bit, you will need to power cycle your drive as mentioned in the guide. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any problems.
you can manually eject the tray as well, just move the lock with a screwdriver or something like that, and slide it out all the way, then back in.
Ok. The drive was coming up, but was not regonised as a lite-on drive. I erased it now and its showing up normally, but wont work on xbox. I tried to do a flash, but the probe wont come on? I tried to probes so its not the probe. why wont the probe turn on?
What does it mean in the instruction by "your hacked firmware in jungleflash" in the instruction? LT FW?
