driver download

    my notebook has a matshita udja 760dvd/cdrw and apparently the driver has somehow been deleted. i looked all over the net for a download but could not find one. can someone give me a little help on where to find it or what to do !

    the default driver is in windows. is there an exclamation mark in device manager or an error code??

    uninstall the device from device manager than restart windows so can load it's own driver.

    so when i uninstall it, then i just restart my computer and it is supposed to just load it on its own ??

    tried that and it said new hardware found. but then when i put in a cd, nothing happened. so i went back into device manager and the exclamation mark was back.

    unistall the ide controller the drive is attached to & the drive in device manager. restart windows so can find new hardware & load it's own drivers.
