I have a NEC ND-3500AG using 2.19 firmware (can't remember if it's a speedhacked one) running on XPpro. Tried to burn a .Bin/.CUE file yesterday but attemps all failed using multiple burn programs (IMGBurn, Alcohol, Nero, CDclone). Thought about reflashing but wanted to get suggestions first. Also is there an upgrade to my current firmware?
your firmware is 3 yrs old now..... and newer media might have a problem burning with your old NEC burner! they have a newer firmware-> 2.1B found here: http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/SingleModel.aspx?DriveId=998 I suggest you update to 2.1B firmware and try again. If you still have problems maybe it's time for a newer drive that can burn the new media that's out there.
Thanks for the info. I suspect it's simply a firmware problem ( yes, the CDs were new from a fresh pack). Will update and inform. Thanks again.
