First off I hope everyone had a good weekend. Now for my issue, I am having issues with converting MP3's. What I mean by this is that I will take one of MY Cd's and convert them onto the computer for MP3 usage. I will play the files first on the computer to make sure everything checks out then I will transfer them to a thumb drive and use it in the car. The problem I am having is every song won't play in the car. I can hit list on the FP800BT pioneer deck and it will list all the songs but if you go to play certain ones they just sit there with nothing happening so i must move on to another. There is no pattern to which songs will play and which wont but it will always be a few in each batch. I have tried MP3TAG and integrity checks but to know avail everything comes out clean. I don't understand how it will play on the computer (with any player) then get in the car and some songs wont work. If anyone has dealt with this before any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mp3tag does not do any integrity check I know of.

Never mind, obviously the mp3 is not the problem since they play fine on your computer. It sounds like your deck can't read your drive. It can see the files but not open them. There is an infinite number of possibilities for what could have screwed it up.

I would start by using a different drive, use the utility teracopy to do the copy. That utility verifies the copy was clean.

I make mp3 CDs they hold 100-150 tunes or more than 5 hrs. I keep 20-30 in the car for any kind of mood. The thumb drives are good for quick and dirty but the mp3 CDs are an investment of your time.
