Hey All, I have a question about how to convert DRM protected WMV files to something I can Burn on a DVD....I bought a computer training course and it will only play on windows media 11 but it is hard to follow along on the same computer....So, I want to be able to watch it on a DVD player and follow along....I do have the license as I bought the course...I am on a Macbook pro and have windows installed as well as Leapord...I would use toast to convert and burn after its decoded.. But anyways, what do I need to do? what software do I need and how can I do it? Thanks for any help!
Try FairUse or something like that to remove the DRM, then any software that can convert the DRM free video to DVD(I don't know what is available for a MAC OS, but for Windows, DVD Flick would do it). http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protec...ion-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm A commercial DRM removal would be Tunebite.
There is a windows program called fairuse4w. I don't know if there is a mac version available. I'd suggest doing a web search for fairuse and mac in the same search phrase and see what you find. Good luck. I don't know how many apps support wmv on the mac as it is really a windows format (although yes i know quicktime is widely available on windows also so anything is possible these days).
