just bought a samsung upconverting dvd player...playing commercial dvd (Made of Honor) get less than a second drop of hdmi signal (tv goes blank except for message box) and then picture and sound restores..plays for a minute or so and then drops signal again..this continues..dvd is new but checked it for scratches or smears..also cleaned it and nothing changes..burned a copy of the movie and played the copy without any problems at all...any idea why the commercial dvd does not play properly...have not yet tried any other new dvds...older commercial dvds, like a yr old, play fine

chap at Future Shop says the problem is that i have a bad HDMI cable (Monster Cable for 1080p i think it is 4.8gb)...bounces or drops signal because of copyright protection on commercial dvd yet burned copy has the copyright protection removed thus no problem with signal...does this make sense to anyone out there? Thanks
