Use google - search for winrar, this will unzip the file for you

These were the instructions I found

Copy the .nds file onto your card and run it. Once this process reaches 100%, shutdown your DS.
Turn it back on and hold Start+Select to bring up the format menu. Select Quick Format and let it complete.
Once finished, copy xmenu.dat onto the card.
That's it, the card is now ready.

When I downloaded the file - un zipped it with winrar I got one file that ended with .nds at the end (as well as trhe others).

Which firmware are you downloading from the site (so I can look and see if I am talking about the same card)

I think you should download the DS Fire link

This is the main site - http://www.dsfirelink.com/MAIN/

If it looks like this then download the correct 1.45 firmware, unzip it and follow their instructions

If not - does your card look like this http://www.dslinker.cn/
