    Hi.

I thinking about getting a DS Fire Link card as opposed to an F Card (sellers only options) for my son, which one of these cards is better? and could someone please give me a run through the process of putting games on it please, I have ROM's to put on the card but not quite sure how to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sure.
These cards are basicaly the same card, however the F-card has a better card reader adapter thingy to link it to your computers USB port.
    Both are good cards.
    .
    Putting roms on it!?
first of all, you will have to extract the rom from the zip-file using winrar or winzip.
extract the NDS file to somewhere on your PC.
    .
connect the card to your computer.
if it's a firecard, put firecard in the DS slot 1. Place the other adapter in slot 2. Connect slot 2 adapter to USB post using cable provided.
    Turn on DS
    choose USB MODE.
Hear the noise as the gear connects with your computer.
It will show-up in >MY COMPUTER< as 'removable drive H' or something similar.
    Thats it connected.
    Now
Goto the place where you put the rom earlier.
Right-click on the rom....little box menu pops-up....click SEND TO>>>>REMOVABLE DRIVE H(yours might have a different letter for the removable drive)
..and that, as they say, is that.
good luck...i'm sure you'll manage it.
    .
oh..some day in the future the firecard will suddenly stop working...dont panic. It will need reformatted.
To do this put ONLY the firecard in the DS>>turn on DS>>hold down START & SELECT....then choose 'quick format'...this cleans the card for you to start fresh.
Put xmenu back in, then put roms back in.
    .
    another thing.
as soon as you get the card, copy the XMENU from inside the card to somewhere safe on your PC.
You'll be glad you did, coz it's a cert that you'll need it again in the future.
    good luck.

NOTE TO ADMINS/MODERATORS OF THIS BOARD.
How about someone with better writing skills than me making a 'sticky' for this board on these Firecards/F-cards/dslinker/N-cards/MK5's as these cards are becoming very popular while having a few problems connected with them.
Im sure it would be a great help to these guys who show-up with similar type problems.
    Thanks.
