DS kinda a brick i guess...

    i overwrit the current DS firmware with my r4 with FWnitro.
    problem is is that FWNitro wont boot R4 FFS!!! biig problem
    now i cant restore my ds firmware, so im looking at GBA carts. could anyone recomend me one that'll fix my problem as well as letting me run GBA games? thanks!!! also if theres a way around this leemmi know cuz id rather do that than buy a GBA loader :)
    ohoh im lookin for an extremly cheapo one and a glossy black color :p

    Out of morbid curiosity, why exactly were you tinkering with the DS firmware? There was a time when it was necessary to do so to use a DS flashcart, but you have an R4, theres nothing you couldnt do with it that you could do with a custom firmware.

    Anyway, I'm no expert on the subject since I've never messed with DS firmware, but it seems to me that your best bet is to buy a new DS cart that is supported under FWnitro. Standalone GBA carts really aren't that easy to find or very cheap anymore. I used to have a supercard that I bought because it was the cheapest one I could find. It worked but games didnt run at full speed.

    My best advice is getting an M3 with the GBA expansion pack. Make sure this custom firmware supports it first of course. But even together both parts are going to cost you roughly what a GBA standalone cart will cost.
