My daughters friend has brought me her DS lite, that just quit working overnight. It is past warranty already. She already got a new DSi, but if I can fix this, then good, if not I guess no worries. Both screens are black, but has sound. I can press on the touch screen and I hear it working, but nothing. Has anyone had anything similar or any advise before I take it apart and look at it. I looked on Nintendo support site and it has where both screens are black / power light blinking slowly, but that is not the case with this one.
You could be lucky and both screens have failed together, however more likely it is the display drive on the motherboard. New motherboard.
Thanks Kittymat Well lets hope I am lucky then, but I doubt it. I do have a couple extra screens, so might just try it anyway.
