Hello, I have read through a lot of the threads here and I am still a little confused as to what I need to buy.

Firstly, I don't care about Homebrew and I don't want it to stick out of my DS Lite so that rules out the M3. I was looking at getting an G6-Lite with Passcard 3 combo. I need bothing items, I can't get by with just the G6-Lite to play backups correct?

Well I have looked at a bunch of the sites and I came across the "DS-X (DS-Xtreme)" on www.divineo.com. It sounds like an all in one solution but I can't find any real information on this item. Can anyone fill me in on some more information on this product?

I also came across the "Ninjapass DS Flash (512Mbit)" on www.winsunx.com . Is this an all in one solution as well? Anyone have any information on this item?

I want to purchase this as soon as possible but I am just worried I will make the wrong purchase if I just buy the G6-Lite/Passcard3 combo because there might be something better out there that I haven't found yet.

Any insight or direction would be of great help.

    Thanks

The G6Lite/Passcard3 combo will be your best choice - it is well priced and doesn't stick out of the DS Lite. You will need both to be able to run commercial backups of the games that you own

As far as the DSX goes, it is a brand new item that will be released August 18th (or something like that). It will cost about $125+shipping, which, compared to the G6Lite/Passcard3 combo, is pretty expensive. Also remember that you will have to buy a microSD card for it, so it ends up costing a lot more than the G6/P3 combo

Ninjapass is another not-so-well-known flashcart. Its a decent cart, but not sure about compatibility since I haven't used one and haven't read up much on it.

    Hopefully all of this helps.

    dude,

why not get the M3 miniSD or SuperCard miniSD?

They both stick out just a little and if you use flashme, then you don't have to worry about PassCard!

Come on, don't be so picky, it sticks out a little. Relax and use it and enjoy your life.

    cheers!

actually, the post above this one actually made me think of something. There's an M3 Lite coming out, fits into your GBA slot and is the size of that dummy cart, but it uses microSD. The main advantage of this is that its expandable, unlike the G6 Lite. May want to look into that.. should be out on the 15th

do not buy from divineo.com, trust me, bad customer service and you never get a guarentee of when you'll actually get your product, could be weeks, could be over a month (in my case). I suggest you get a supercard lite + superkey + 1gb microsd + usb reader, will run you about $130USD. And it sits flush with a ds lite and it has twice the storage of a g6 lite.

The ninjapass only has 512Mbit which is 64MB so that's not much space at all, in fact, there are some DS games (only a couple) that are larger than 64MB. The G6 lite has 512MB, so that's an okay amount of space, the same amount of space as a DSX. pakixd said that you'd need a microsd card for it, which you don't, it has it's only built in memory like a g6 lite, but it also has a mini usb port on it to transfer files to your computer. The DSlink requires a microsd card, but only works on DS'es that have flashme installed, which requires you to buy a passcard and a flashcart anyway.

As for the M3 lite, it will probably be the most expensive of the options, as M3/G6 products always are.

oh, and modster says that if you use flashme, you won't have to worry about a passcard, which is kind of not true. In order to install flashme, you have to use a passcard, after it's installed, you don't need it, but you'll need it at least once. And most people who got a ds lite got it because of it's looks, and don't want an ugly chunk of plastic sticking out of it.

There won't be an "ugly chunk of plastic" if a Passcard3 is used...

I was considering buying at www.kicktrading.com.

Can anyone recommend an all in out package and where to buy it? I would like the all in one "DS-X (DS-Xtreme)" but I can't find it anywhere except the divineo site.

The info you guys have posted so far is great! Thanks again.

"There won't be an "ugly chunk of plastic" if a Passcard3 is used..."

I was refering to modster recommending that he get a m3 mini sd or a supercard mini sd, those stick out as they aren't made for DS lites, minisd sticks out, microsd doesn't.

Hmm... my mistake. I thought you were referring to the Passkey2 and such.
