I was wondering I currently have an older model Nintendo DS with the a supercard adapter and passkey and it works fine.. however when I attempt to connect the components to my new Nintendo DS Lite I am unable to get the games to work.. can anyone tell me why? and could you tell me what I need to do to get them to work with DS Lite?
What passkey are you using? the older passkey will only work with older model DS's and not those with a newer firmware or the DS Lite.
isn't there a way to update the firmware? or do I simply have to get a newer one? I mean I honestly have only had it like 3 months or so..
There is no way to update the DS firmware, the newer DS firmwares such as those on the newer phats DS's and the DS lite have blobked the use of the old style Passkey, you will need to buy a newer Passkey2, or better yet get a Passcard3.
ok cool but my supercard and CF should still be compatible too though right?? btw do you have link to a site which may have the passcard3 for sale?
The supercard will still work perfectly, its just the exploit which makes the DS use th supercard in DS mode was patched, so a new Passkey had to be developed. I will find a link now and edit the post soon. EDIT: Here is the Passcard3 http://www.kicktrading.ca/product_i...id=88&osCsid=f525ae62c96b0467a30c6ec2c8682d00 And here is the Superkey (the Supercard team varient of the Passcard3) http://www.kicktrading.ca/product_i...id=85&osCsid=f525ae62c96b0467a30c6ec2c8682d00 I would reccommend getting the superkey as it is made by the same team as the supercard you have.
mr_hanky I appreciate all your help I will keep you posted! I'm loving the new ds lite the screen looks so much more vibrant!
