    A torch :p

But seriously, if it does seem to dark for you, you should consider trading it for a Lite, the screens are much better.

i've read that some guy used flashme on his and it thought it was a ds lite and gave him the option to set 3 levels of brightness. Im gonna try that but im hoping there is a more specific hack for it.

It won't work unless you have a [bold]very[/bold] new DS, you can do the firmware test to see if it will work before flashing.

To do the firmware test you need to turn the DS on with a DS game in it, go to Pictochat and enter the first room, now eject the game, the screens will both change colour.

You will need the screens to turn purple for what you want to do to work.
