As title, I have a repair to do on a DS not reading carts, I thought ok easy enough, just replace the DS Slot 1, although on opening its got one of the top larger PADs lifted from the board, its one of the four corner connection, are these there just to keep the Slot 1 in place or used for comms? I haven't soldered the new one on yet as hoping for an answer to what to do.
If it needs this connection for communication to motherboard I'll need to find a trace, although doesn't look like there's one?! But I suppose for stability I'd like to fix it so its more secure to the board and not moveable by DS cart insertion etc.

    Please give me tips.

    Thanks

It is just a securing point - not a problem!
