Arite, I've been thinking about running roms on my DS for a while but I've been put off by the passcards and what have you and the cost also...but, when I was in work the other day I noticed the new Xploder cheats system for the DS which allows you to pretty much link up a cart into your PC using the adapter which comes with it, which got me thinking, surely this makes it an easy way to run roms on your DS but just loading new roms onto a cartridge using your pc then putting back in your DS? is this a possibility?

I dont have any idea if it works or not, however one thing you have to consider.. if the cart is not meant for it..there would only be limited capacity.. also... unless the cart is meant for it, I dont BELIEVE it would work, as there has to be some kind of emulation, or programming to actually run the game. However, i might be completely mistaken, its just my assumption that unless it was meant for that, it wouldnt really do it.

I agree with DraTs, I cannot see this as being a possibility for running ROMs on the DS. If you do want an all-in one solution wait for the DS-X to be released (does exactly what you were thinking of doing with the Xploder), seems to be a very good device, even capable of running homebrew such as DSorganise.

the only downfall to the DS-X is that its extremely expensive.

^Yeah, I mentioned it as it's the closest thing to the Xploder that can play ROMs.

so basically, the general concensus is that its not a cheap method to boot roms, but an expensive method for disappointment :) lol
